The Packaging Equipment Cooling Air Cooler is an environmentally friendly and energy-efficient air-cooling device introduced by Baochiyuan Company for industries such as wave soldering machines, spray coating, reflow soldering, assembly lines, laboratories, foundries, home appliances, and food processing. Using air as the medium, it can rapidly cool spaces and products in a short time, making it an ideal industrial refrigeration solution following traditional air conditioning systems.

I. Working Principle of the Packaging Equipment Cooling Air Cooler

Based on the principles of the refrigeration system, low-temperature and low-pressure liquid refrigerant undergoes heat exchange with surrounding water in the evaporator. The evaporator absorbs heat from the water, causing the refrigerant to evaporate into a low-temperature, low-pressure gaseous state. During this evaporation process, the refrigerant temperature remains unchanged. The low-temperature, low-pressure gaseous refrigerant then enters the compressor, where it is compressed into a high-temperature, high-pressure gaseous state. It subsequently flows into the condenser, where it exchanges heat with the indoor medium. Part of the heat from the high-temperature, high-pressure gaseous refrigerant is absorbed by the medium, raising its temperature, while the refrigerant releases heat and condenses into a high-temperature, high-pressure liquid. The temperature remains constant during the condensation process. The refrigerant then passes through an expansion valve for throttling, a process that causes rapid cooling, transforming the refrigerant into a low-temperature, low-pressure liquid. After this stage, the refrigerant re-enters the evaporator for heat exchange and evaporation, completing the entire refrigeration cycle. This cycle continues uninterrupted, enabling continuous cooling of water. The cooled air is then blown by a fan to the areas requiring temperature reduction.

II. Classification of Air Coolers

1. By Cooling (Heat Dissipation) Method

A. Water-cooled Air Cooler: (Shell and Tube Type) The condenser is equipped with a cooling tower for heat dissipation.

B. Air-cooled Air Cooler: (Finned Type) The condenser dissipates heat through the unit's own fans.

Selection of Air Coolers: Generally, the appropriate water-cooled or air-cooled air cooler is chosen based on the required cooling capacity (airflow and temperature).

Characteristics of Air-cooled Type: Named after its heat dissipation method, it includes an insulated water tank and water pump within the unit, eliminating the need for an additional cooling water tower for heat dissipation. Installation and mobility are highly convenient. However, it requires good ventilation in the workshop environment; otherwise, the cooling effect may be directly impacted.

Characteristics of Water-cooled Type: Water-cooled air coolers require additional installation of a cooling water tower and water pump to extract hot water for heat dissipation, ensuring effective cooling performance.
